Southern California Executive Nursing Leadership Council

The Chief Nurse Executives are the care delivery leaders and business leaders for nursing and patient care services across the Southern California region.  The CNE's drive accountability for raising organizational performance to achieve extraordinary nursing care, every patient, every time.

By leveraging the power of KP nurses, the Chief Nurse Executives set the strategic direction for nursing in the Kaiser Permanente Southern California region.  The CNE's do this through designing and adopting innovative care delivery models, spreading and coordinating successful practices across the continuum, and influencing state and national policy.

The CNE's organize their work into five strategic imperatives that align with the KP organizational strategic imperatives but emphasize aspects of importance to nursing:

  • Transforming Quality & Patient Safety [Transforming Care Delivery]
  • Enabling Performance through People & Systems [Enabling Performance through People]
  • Delivering an Extraordinary Care Experience [Implementing Infrastructure]
  • Improving Affordability [Improving Cost Structure]
  • Expanding Access to KP Care [Growing Membership]
